This class will be devoted to the “other” kind of “functional” art that glass is commonly used for – drinking vessels. We will cover several different styles including shot glasses, beer mugs, wine glasses and art goblets. Focus will be on sound technique, good form, and surface design with an emphasis on aesthetics and creativity. This class would be perfect for any flame worker looking to advance and improve their bench skills. A minimum of one years experience is required for this class. .

There are ten spots available for this class. Five students can lodge with us in our studio bedroom with attached full bathroom. Five students will have to find their own accommodations at a motel or air b&b nearby. (Please note that we cannot allow camping or sleeping in cars on our property.) Tuition is tiered accordingly. When you sign up, please indicate which tier you want.

Tier 1: Lodging and workstation, all meals: $1000 (limited to five)

Tier 2: Workstation but no lodging, all meals – $850 (limited to five)

All materials and meals are included in the tuition. Students should bring their torches and favorite tools. A 50% deposit is required to enroll with the balance due on the first day of the class. Cancellations within 30 days of the class are non-refundable.
